Trainee Submissions
BSRS Annual Conference 2026
London, 27–28 June
BSRS welcomes submissions from trainees and fellows in ophthalmology for the 33rd Annual Conference. Submissions may be made as E-posters or surgical and educational videos, and all entries are reviewed by the BSRS Council, with selected work considered for inclusion in the conference programme.
Trainee E-Poster Submission
BSRS welcomes E-poster submissions from trainees and fellows for consideration for the BSRS Trainee E-Poster Award at the 33rd Annual Conference.
Selected E-posters will be featured as part of the conference programme.
Eligibility
- Open to juniors, trainees and fellows in ophthalmology
- Submissions must be original work
- An individual may submit both an E-poster and a video
- Evidence of trainee status will be required
Submission Guidance
- Please include your name, grade of training, and training hospital
- A short abstract or summary should accompany your submission
- Posters should be submitted as PDF or PowerPoint
- If your file is too large to upload, you may provide a secure share link
Topics
Submissions should be relevant to the BSRS audience and may include:
- Refractive surgery
- Cataract surgery
- Intraocular lenses
- Keratoconus
- Related clinical topics
Submission Deadline
15 May 2026
Award
The winning E-poster will be selected by the BSRS Council.
The winner will receive an award of £150 and will be invited to present their poster as part of the conference programme.
Trainee Video Submission
BSRS welcomes video submissions from trainees and fellows for consideration for the BSRS Trainee Video Award at the 33rd Annual Conference.
Selected videos will be featured as part of the conference programme.
Eligibility
- Open to juniors, trainees and fellows in ophthalmology
- Submissions must be original work
- An individual may submit both an E-poster and a video
- Evidence of trainee status will be required
Submission Guidance
- Videos should be anonymised and submitted in high-quality format
- Please include your name, grade of training, and the hospital at which the video was recorded
- Videos should be clearly structured and focused on key learning points
- The use of voiceover and/or annotations is encouraged
- Please provide a secure link to your video (e.g. Vimeo, YouTube, OneDrive or Dropbox)
